On Sunday, March 29th, Marilynn will present a double-barreled concert at Roger Williams University. The first half will feature a Rio-style “roda da choro,” of traditional Brazilian music; the second half will be a release for her new CD: Madrugada (Daybreak), with Luiz Simas, piano; Catherine Hawkes, flute; Adam Bahrami, cavaquinho & pandeiro;and Paul Dressel, guitar.
Madrugada is a landmark release for Marilynn, featuring new compositions that interweave elements of European classical, American jazz, and Brazilian choro, reflecting influences from her long and extraordinary career. Don’t miss this coming-out party!
