The Mandolin Journal, magazine of the Classical Mandolin Society of America, has published a review of Marilynn and Paulo Sa’s method book for Brazilian Choro, that concludes: “For those of us in North America who have no access to this music in its native environment it provides the next best thing to being there…. Highly recommended.“ And Fernando Duarte’s webpage Bandolim.net writes: “Mais do que um método de bandolim, o trabalho é um guia para quem quer conhecer o sotaque e as especificidades do choro.” [More than a method for bandolim, the work is a guide for those who want to learn the (Brazilian) accent and characteristics of Choro].
