Marilynn Mair, a Professor of Music at Roger Williams University, is a world-renown mandolinist who has played in North America, Europe, and Japan, and released 9 critically-acclaimed recordings. Adam Larrabee teaches at the New England Conservatory and performs and records with Andromeda and other groups in Boston. Eric Christensen is a guitar instructor at Roger Williams University and Rhode Island College, and performs widely in the area.

Enigmatica is a Boston-based mandolin septet that plays Baroque, Brazilian, and contemporary music. They perform throughout the New England area, and recently released their self-titled debut CD. Enigmatica will be featured in concert at the Classical Mandolin Society of America convention in Philadelphia this November.

The members of The American Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra, come from across the United States and Canada to study at The American Mandolin & Guitar Summer School, combining their diverse talents to create this 50+ person plucked-string orchestra that delights audiences wherever and whenever it performs.
The Hibbard Perry Memorial Scholarships are awarded annually by the Plucked String Foundation, Inc., with additional donations for 2004 from Enigmatica, in memory of Helen Raposa and Ella Haring.
